MSG ALLERGY TIPS
Did you know MSG has 21 names? Most people only look for Monosodium Glutamate.
The MOST COMMON names for MSG to look for in ingredients (for those with an MSG allergy) are:
Monosodium Glutamate
Hydrolyzed Soy, Wheat, Corn (or any hydrolyzed vegetable) Protein
Autolyzed Yeast
IF YOU SEE THESE NAMES IN THE INGREDIENT LIST, THEY WILL CAUSE SAME REACTION FOR THOSE ALLERGIC TO MSG.
Kikoman Soy Sauce does NOT have MSG and is safe. Most other soy sauces have MSG or Hydrolyzed Soy Protein.
MOST Campbell’s Healthy Request Soups do NOT have MSG (except for Campbell’s GOLDEN Cream of Mushroom & maybe onion…always check ingredients)
Chick-Fil-A GRILLED chicken is safe, the breaded chicken has MSG (as of Aug. 2018)
Boston Market has MSG in most of their food. (no recent update…check)
