not found without the other

Something to ponder:

“I fear it is sometimes forgotten that God has married together justification and sanctification. They are distinct and different things, beyond question–but one not found without the other. All justified people are sanctified, and all sanctified people are justified. Do not tell me of your justification, unless you also have some marks of sanctification. Because one is not found without the other!
Boast not of Christ’s work for you, unless you can show us the Spirit’s work in you”

Something to ponder
Charles Spurgeon: “To suppose that temporal things are too little for our condescending God, is to forget that He observes the flight of sparrows, and counts the hairs of his people’s heads. Besides, everything is so little to Him, that, if He does not care for the little, He cares for nothing.”

Something to ponder
Arthur Pink: “Because God is God indeed–He does as He pleases, only as He pleases, always as He pleases. His great concern is the promotion of His own glory. He is the Supreme Being, and therefore Sovereign of the universe!”
