I’m aj

                     Welcome to my website!

My name is aj, and I’ve written my first book.

Where was God? My stories show why I followed Him when life gave me lemons. Life seemed to be an uphill battle all the way – only I didn’t know at the time that it was uphill to victory.

Check out my Writer’s page for an intro to each chapter.

I hope you will be blessed with the devotionals. They can be shared with others as they are open source. I’d love to hear from you and if you have a prayer request, email me or leave it on my blog page.

Be sure to check out the Recipe & Tips section where I share favorite recipes or tips from my years of cooking simply, and nutritiously. There are a few sweet treat recipes, too, because everyone needs a good treat, once in a while.

I hope you will enjoy my website. I look forward to hearing from you.

F.R.O.G. Fully Rely on God

The worst days I have ever had!

“The Lord gets His best soldiers out of the highlands of affliction.

Great hearts can only be made by great troubles.

The spade of trouble digs the reservoir of comfort deeper, and makes more room for consolation.

The Lord’s mercy often rides to the door of our heart, upon the black horse of affliction!

I bear my witness that the worst days I have ever had, have turned out to be my best days! And when God has seemed most unfriendly to me, He has then been most kind. If there is anything in this world for which I would bless Him more than for anything else, it is for pain and affliction. I am sure that in these things, the richest tenderest love has been manifested to me.

Our Father’s wagons rumble most heavily, when they are bringing us the richest freight of the bullion of His grace.
Love letters from heaven, are often sent in black-edged envelopes.

The cloud that is black with horror, is big with mercy. Fear not the storm, it brings healing in its wings!

When Jesus is with you in the vessel, the tempest only hastens the ship to its desired haven.”

Charles Spurgeon
