(Mary Winslow, “Life in Jesus”)
Thus go to Jesus.
He is with you . . .
in all your concerns,
all your trials,
in all your blessings,
and in all your sorrows and
in all your joys.
His dear eye is ever upon you for good.
He loved you with an everlasting love, and
with loving kindness drew you to Himself.
Veil no secrets from Him.
Keep an open heart with Christ.
If your love is cold, He will warm it.
And If your spirit is depressed, He will raise it.
If your corruptions are strong, He will subdue them.
The more often you come the more welcome you will be.
You cannot weary nor wear Him out!
Remember, His eye is upon you for good.
Yes! He is with you!

Instead of a river, God often gives us a brook–which may be running today, and dried up tomorrow.
Why?
To teach us not to rest in our blessings–but in the blesser Himself.
“Hold me up–and I shall be safe!” Psalm 119:117
“So do not fear–for I am with you! Do not be dismayed–for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand!” Isaiah 41:10
